Kim Jong-Un Endorses Donald Trump

I was scrolling through Facebook one afternoon and saw a video that talked about Donald Trump being endorsed by North Korea’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-Un. I thought this was strange, so i found a news article about this topic. In this news article , it starts saying that Kim Jong-Un closely watched the GOP and Democratic debates. After watching these debates he concluded that Donald Trump would be a good leader of The United States. Later in this article it goes on saying that Kim admires Trump’s concept of building a wall between the United States and Mexico. Towards the end of the article, the writer of this article writes about how they do not know what it will do for Trump’s stands in the polls, but time will tell. In this article it does not specify much about the source of their information. How are we supposed to trust this article if we do not know where this information is coming from? When the information of where the source does not come from, it is a major fallacy in th...

Rally to Fight Big Soda

Greg Glassman, the founder of Crossfit inc, has traveled around gyms across the country speaking about soda. Glassman has been talking about soda not in a negative way, but giving facts to the listeners about the negative side effects of soda. Glassman has been using rhetoric by trying to start a movement of the corruption of soda and what it does to the body. Glassman presented a bill that is trying to be passed to put a warning label on soda cans about the toxins soda releases into the body. Glassman is not trying to ban soda, but to inform people that the toxins that go into the body through soda are not benefiting the body in anyway. Glassman is using examples and facts throughout his presentation. He keeps the audience paying attention by humor in the middle of his speech. Once he gets the attention back to him by humor he gets back into the facts and presents more information attacking soda. Glassman is targeting the proper audience to lead the movement he is trying to st...

Mark Twain

Mark Twain the very distinguished author said that, “No sinner is ever saved after the first twenty minutes of a sermon.” This statement has some truth behind this, and yet has some inconsistencies to it. Mark Twain is going down the path in this statement that you cannot comprehend the whole concept of the Bible in just a short amount of time. Twain is trying to get to the point that there is more than just a short sermon to grasp what you truly believe. Many people can get onto a ‘spiritual high’ and just believe what they hear and go right back to their old ways. Twain may have been trying to get at this point also and how it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. With Mark Twain’s statement there are times when statement may be false. Many people’s lives can be changed when they truly believe in God. God can work in people’s lives greatly and can truly change their lives. It does not take time for everyone for God to be brought into people’s lives, although for others it may t...

Cheez It

I have decided to do my blog post on a Cheez It commercial from Two Thousand Ten. The commercial starts out saying that they expect a lot from their cheese, saying that they actually care about what product they are giving to you. Then the scene it cuts two is a scene that has a brick of cheese talking to a intelligent looking man. The doctor is trying to show that they use experts to evaluate their product and make sure it is a good product. During this scene they use humor, to make the viewer laugh,  between the cheese and the doctor or professional as it seems. The cheese tries to make a joke and then the man marks the cheese as not ready to be made, indicating that they care about their product. The next scene shows the same doctor with the cheese again. Although this time the cheese talked in a more sophisticated way and sounded very proper. The man then went to check the box with the ready next to it indicating that the cheese was ready, showing the consumers that they ...
