Why is Clinton Disliked?

I read an article about Hillary Clinton, one of the most popular candidates right now, from New York Times News. The title is “ Why is Clinton disliked? ” It seems to be a reasonable and persuasive article for me, so I want to talk about it. The main topic of this article obviously is about Clinton. It said that “Clinton’s unpopularity is akin to the unpopularity of a workaholic.” And the writer used a lot of rhetoric to support this claim. In the beginning of of this article, the writer points out that there are two paradoxes to her unpopularity. First is that, she used to be popular and the second is that, she did a lot of good things such as charity and she was a dedicated public server. In order to support these two points, the writer uses statistics from New York Times and CBS News poll to state that these two paradoxes actually exist. After explaining these two paradoxes, the writer claims that because of the hardworking and dedicated role of Clinton, people will tend to sense...

Jack Ma

Recently, I listened to a speech performed by Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Company, on youtube. It is very persuasive to me, so I want to share it. The topic was about how young people should do for now, and he tried to persuade us to think that, we should not complain about ourselves like “ Why do I not have the opportunities like others do?”, “How can I not be successful?”, instead we need to listen to others’ complaint, the opportunities are hidden inside of those complaint and work hard to accomplish our dreams. I am really affected by what he said. It is not a long speech, but Jack Ma used a lot of his own experience in the speech, for example, when he told people that how to listen to other people’s complaint. He gave us an example of himself: when he tried to find a way out because he was poor, he heard that little company always complain that they can’t trade aboard easily, they could not even join the Fairs they wanted to, then he said to himself “ Maybe internet will hel...

Speech

Last friday during school chapel, I heard the sermon addressed by Jeremiah. It is a very interesting topic,it told us how will what we said affect other people, and how does it related to our faith inside of our heart. The speaker tried to persuade us to think whether it is appropriate to speak that way before we talk badly about other people, because it will hurt them; to believe that what we said is actually come out from our hearts, that if we talk mean to people, it means inside of our hearts are full of mean things; and to make us to control our tongue, control our body, so that we can control the faith inside. Logos is used throughout the whole sermon, the sermon follows the logical order, points and reasons at first and the conclusion in the end. The speaker also used ethos, he quoted from Martin Luther King to support the point that our faith will be affected if we curse or make fun of people and faith can affect our action as well. In the middle of the sermons, there was a m...

She was saying that “ I want a thing that can easily and simply make my skin stay healthy, clear and beautiful.”and she told the viewer with a happy and surprising tone that she got what she wanted in Proactiv skincare product. Then the rest of the commercial showed the people why she loves this by telling us how Julianne uses them everyday and what she felt about the products after using. According to what she said, the products are“ silky”, “very light”, not “ harsh”. So it can nourish and hydrate the skin, make the pore tiny, all these kinds of thing to compliment the function of the product. In the end, Julianne used “dream cream”, “easiest part of the day” to describe the products.
