Two weeks ago we celebrated Thanksgiving. It makes me remember a great sermon about giving thanks. The pastor told us For most of us it was a time for turkey, feasting and football. Across U.S parades were held, and black Friday followed afterward. Some stores are now opening late on Thanksgiving Day and I have even heard people use the term “Black Thursday”. The Christmas decorations seem to go up earlier and earlier each year. But Thanksgiving Day should not be the only day of giving thanks. Follow along with me as I read from Psalm 100.It 's about everyone should thank for Lord He created us and His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations. He told us before America became a country people eat turkey. This psalm was written long before there were parades and football games – long before America became a country – but it is plain that this psalm is a psalm of thanksgiving none the less. That means thanksgiving does not need to be centered around some special date we set on a calendar.Thanksgiving is a long thing it’s always been a matter of involvement.Everyone should always be thankful anytime and for everything. It ’s a great and really important sermon for me this sermon changed my concept of life make me keep thankful mentality to view the world.
While at the movie theaters to see The Maze Runner , I saw a commercial that featured rhetoric. The cashier watches her forlornly as she leaves, hinting that he has a crush on his customer. Jess gives the Coke with Alisha’s name on it to her friend, and together the two friends drink them. Later, Jess, Alisha and two other friends come back into the store to buy more Coke, then leave and have a good time together. Jess keeps coming back to the store with more and more friends, each time purchasing Coca Cola with their names printed on the labels. The cashier smiles and watches, but it is clear that he wishes he was with Jess. Finally, as the cashier is closing the store for the night, Jess shows up at the door with a Coke that has the name Chris on it. She smiles and hands the drink to the ...
Good description but the essay could use more Rhetoric references. It also seemed like you went off from the topic once or twice but still it was a good essay.
ReplyDeleteI agree that giving thanks is something very important. It is good for us to always be thankful, as Jesus has died for us. We are very blessed to have all we have today.
ReplyDeleteI would agree that we should give thanks even though there are many and multiple distractions around us during Thanksgiving. We must realize who the ultimate provider is and that is God. He gives us breath so we should thank him every second we live.
